Sweet Baby Goats!

I went by my neighbor's farm where I get my fresh goats milk for the soap to pick up a gallon, and see if there were any babies.

Surprise! There were two! This is Snowball, aptly named, and the youngest. She was a little shy and quickly ran to her mother to get a little drink.

And then there was this little cutie, the elder of the two. Sorry little goat, but I don't remember your name. All of the goats are Saanan's, a gentle and friendly breed, but this frisky little one is called a Sable Saanan, which simply means she is a color...

...like her Dad, who you can see in the background of this picture.

And there are more babies to come, so hopefully I can get some more pictures when they're itty bitty.

I believe in locally sourcing everything I possibly can for my soap making, so I was thrilled to be able to get my fresh goats milk from someone I know. After playing with these sweeties, who knows...I may yet get some of my own!
